Queen’s Inclosure Primary School holds a non-school uniform to raise further funds for this appeal.

Linsey McGregor (past teaching volunteer in Yamba) and her mother take part in the Great Scottish Run 10K to raise money for desks.

Lynncroft Primary School and Nursery did a Rainbow Walk for the Desk Appeal and books for Yamba Primary School.  The children dressed in bright colours to represent the colourful fabrics worn by people in Tanzania.  They walked around the school perimeter carrying objects on their heads to show how children in Yamba and Milingano carry baskets of crops and bundles of firewood.  This was part of Lynncroft Primary School’s Harvest Giving.  One girl kindly donated some of her birthday money.  Thanks to Joanna Leigh (nee Elgar), a past teaching volunteer in Yamba and Milingano for organising this at her new school.

Toddington village holds lots of activities to raise funds for this appeal.  Activities included: Georgians Youth Group table top sales, 1st Toddington Brownies doing jobs around the house to earn money to stick on a money tree, the church coffee morning charity stalls, village raffle and lots of donations from individuals.  Thanks to Emily Curtis (past Milingano teaching volunteer) and her mother for organising this.

Buongiorno’s London office competed with players from all over the world in a global virtual XBOX tournament! The London staff used this event and a UK team lunch to raise money for Village Africa’s Desk Appeal.
